Read more ... Back to top Relax And Listen To CDs   When I have some free time and I am left alone at home, I love to listen to CDs. This sadly does not happen very often, so when I want to listen to my favorite CDs I have to get into my car and go somewhere.   There is usually something that I have to do, so at least I know it’s not a wasted trip. The only reason I can’t listen to CDs in my house while everyone is here is because my place is so small, and there is always a competing noise. Headphones are OK, but sometimes you just want to hear the music fill the room around you.   My daughter loves to go for car rides with me because she knows we can listen to CDs that both of us like. My parents live an hour away, so when it comes time to go see them, we both know we have time to listen to CDs of our choosing without any arguments from anyone else. If I am alone I tend to listen to different ones than the ones we listen to together, but I really don’t mind either way.   Listen To Music On Your Computer   You can listen to CDs on your computer if you want to. You can put your own into the CD drive and play them from your browser, or you can pay to download some of the CDs you have been wanting to get.   Use a paid service to listen to CDs this way. You don’t want to be messing with those free download sites. You will be getting more than music when you download stuff from an unknown source. You can find almost anything you might want online, but there are still some exceptions.   If you love to listen to music, you have to take care of the discs or they won’t last very long. I remember when they first came out they were advertised as being something that is indestructible.   I tried to break one with a friend, and we did have a hard time getting it to break. That doesn’t mean the quality will remain the same though. I have one musician that I love above all else, and I tend to listen to his music almost exclusively when I am alone.   The musical disk will get scratched easily, and the music CDs in my home just don’t seem to take the bumps very well and I have to make copies and keep the originals put away. So, listen to the music and enjoy this site for lovers and musicians!   Hearing Easy Listening Music at Home   I know that some people need complete silence in order to concentrate and get work done, but I'm just the opposite. I find that I'm able to focus much better and be more productive when I've got the radio playing softly in the background. I've been this way ever since I was pulling all-nighters in high school and college to study for finals or get an essay completed before the deadline, and I don't think I'm going to change anytime soon. That's why I'm glad I've found plenty of easy listening music stations online.   You might be asking why I would need to get easy listening music online when I could just as easily turn on the radio and tune into a local station. And to be honest, I felt that way when I first heard about Internet radio stations as well. But after giving these channels a try, I can't imagine going back to regular radio broadcasts unless I'm driving in my car!   Listening To Music On The Internet   One of the benefits of Internet radio is that many websites allow you to customize your own playlist. So instead of having to sit through songs I don't like, I can queue up several hours worth of my favorite easy listening music that will help keep me going all day long. Moreover, I have complete control over the songs, and can pause, skip, repeat, or shuffle my playlist -- just as I would with CDs or an MP3 player.   Another benefit of enjoying easy listening music online is that I regularly discover new artists and songs. Most websites allow users to provide ratings and reviews of their current favorites, and I love reading through these to find out what other people think about a certain singer, band, or tune. If I come across something that I like, I can even download the song on the spot (for a small fee) and then load it in my iPod for those times when I'm away from my computer. I've been building a fantastic easy listening music library this way!   I also turn on my favorite easy listening music stations when I'm surfing the Web, playing online games, sending e-mails to family and friends, or doing any number of other tasks at my computer. I love having these soothing tunes in the background, and truly feel more relaxed and stress-free during the day. I don't think I could ever work in complete silence, as the quiet would drive me nuts!   Anyway, if you're like me and enjoy unwinding with easy listening music, I recommend searching for Internet radio stations that play these types of songs. Once you find a few sites you like, simply bookmark them and tune in whenever your computer is on!
